HAVE YOUR SAY TO SHAPE THE FUTURE OF LLS
Minister for Agriculture Adam Marshall has today asked landholders to share their valuable insights to ensure Local Land Services (LLS) best meets their needs over the next five years.
Mr Marshall said hearing feedback on Local Strategic Plans was an ideal opportunity to make sure the goals and priorities of all 11 LLS regions were closely aligned with the very landholders the agency supports.
“LLS offers a range of region-specific programs and services, from providing emergency support during natural disasters, to helping landholders manage feral pests,” Mr Marshall said.
“Hearing feedback directly from landholders is what enables these services and programs to be as effective as possible, which is crucial after dealing with years of drought, bushfires and severe flooding.
“We appreciate that landholders across the state have a lot on their plates at the moment, so we’ve provided several options for people to have their say.”
All 11 LLS Local Strategic Plans are available to view and download via the NSW Government’s ‘Have Your Say’ platform, https://www.haveyoursay.nsw.gov.au/lls-plans.
Feedback can be provided through the platform by filling out a quick online survey or uploading a formal written submission.
Mr Marshall said landholders have until Sunday, 6 June to provide feedback and comments on their respective Local Strategic Plans.
“These plans have been developed by local staff and key stakeholders, but your feedback is key to ensuring LLS is working best for you,” Mr Marshall said.
“Having Local Strategic Plans that align with the needs of our landholders and primary producers means we can effectively work together to navigate long-term drought, bushfire and flood recovery at both locally and state-wide.”
Landholders can contact their closest LLS office or call 1300 795 299 for questions or if they need assistance submitting feedback. More information about Local Strategic Plans is available on the LLS website, www.lls.nsw.gov.au.
