GLENRAC’s Men’s Night Community Recognition Statement presented to NSW State Parliament.
24 September 2024
GLENRAC is thrilled to share the Community Recognition Statement presented to the NSW Legislative Assembly by our State Member for Northern Tablelands, Brendan Moylan MP, regarding our Men’s Night, held on 26 July 2024.
The Statement reads:
GLENRAC SUPPORTING MEN
I recognise the achievements of the Glen Innes Natural Resources Advisory Committee [GLENRAC] for hosting the Men’s Night at Glen Innes recently. The event brought men together, provided information around men's mental health, with the aim of encouraging people to talk openly about their well-being.
I congratulate CEO Kylie Falconer, the GLENRAC team and organisers for facilitating the event, seeing some 184 people in attendance. Thank you to the speakers: Warren Davies, Kerry White, Carol Mudford and Casey Chard for sharing stories, experiences and insights. Special thanks to the sponsors: Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network, the Kayne Wells Memorial Fund, Centacare New England North West, along with the Rotary Club and Men's Shed of Glen Innes. Thank you to donors: The Ben's Falls Retreat, Say & Co Rural, Second Time Round Saddlery, Kemp Shearing, Shearing Supplies Dubbo, Elders, GrazAg and the Rotary Club all of Glen Innes. Thanks to entertainer Charlie Fittler and the Glen Innes Services Club.
I commend all those involved in for this valuable initiative, for their teamwork and commitment to better the lives of others in the Glen Innes community.
